Islamabad: The Election Commission has directed the Delimitation Committeesto complete their work by all means by September 26th.
According to the Election Commission spokesperson, the Commission hasassessed the progress of the Delimitation Committees’ work. According tothe spokesperson, the Delimitation Committees have been instructed tocomplete their work by September 26, 2023, and the announcement ofpreliminary constituencies will be made on September 27th.
It should be noted that the Election Commission has expedited theconstituency delimitation process for the upcoming general elections. Theoutcome of the Practicing and Procedure Act case will directly impact thenational political landscape in the future, says Firdous Ashiq Awan.
The Election Commission has stated that the constituency announcement willtake place on November 30th, with the aim of expediting the electionprocess by reducing the duration of the constituency delimitation.Previously, the Election Commission had set December 14th as the durationfor constituency delimitation.

However, the Election Commission authorities met with leaders of nationalpolitical parties in connection with the general elections, during whichall political leaders demanded the prompt organization of elections.
