The victim,identified as Saeed Ahmed, was on duty when this lethal attack took placeon Jail Road in Quetta. In a separate but equally disturbing event, two police officers weremartyred during an attack on a polio vaccination team operating in thesuburban region of Quetta. Fortunately, the two brave women volunteersworking with the vaccination team escaped unharmed. These incidents reflectthe dire security challenges faced by those working to protect publichealth and safety.
Former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, swiftlycondemned the attack and expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of thepolice officers. He characterized the incident as a sinister plot aimed atundermining the health and well-being of children in the region. CM Bizenjocalled upon relevant authorities to utilize all available resources in thepursuit of bringing the perpetrators of this attack to justice.
