Rawalpindi: Former Chief Minister of Punjab and President of PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pervez Elahi, has issued an important messagethrough his lawyer while being imprisoned at Adiala Jail.
While in jail, Pervez Elahi met with his lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan.During the meeting, they discussed the cases and legal matters, whilePresident PTI informed the lawyer about the conditions and difficulties injail.
Pervez Elahi stated that he has been continuously targeted for politicalvengeance for the past four months, but he will not deviate from hispolitical stance. He expressed his determination to confront false cases.Lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan, speaking to the media after the meeting,revealed that instead of providing facilities to Pervez Elahi in jail, theyhave built walls in front of his cell, blocking out light and air.
Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan mentioned that the former Chief Minister ofPunjab is being kept in harsh conditions, with no permission to visit him.He stated that they will approach the High Court against the unfairtreatment towards Pervez Elahi.

It should be noted that on September 6, Pervez Elahi had made it clearduring a courtroom interaction with journalists that he had no intention ofholding a press conference. The Capital Police had filed a case in the CTDpolice station, presenting President PTI in the Anti-Terrorism Court, wherehe had an informal conversation with media representatives in the courtroom.
A journalist had asked, “Mr. Pervez Elahi, why aren’t you returning toyour party?” To which he responded that Chaudhry Shujaat has sent him toPTI. Another question was asked to Pervez Elahi, “Then why hasn’t ChaudhryShujaat himself joined PTI?” In response, he stated that he hasn’t come toPTI because his son, Salik Hussain, had an aspiration to become a minister.
