PPP to reconsider General Elections demands

In Lahore, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is considering revisiting itsstance on the election date during today’s Central Executive Committee(CEC) meeting.

There are differing opinions among sources: some believe PPP will maintainits demand for timely elections to pressure the Election Commission ofPakistan, while others suggest they might reconsider their position basedon recent developments, including their meeting with the ECP. Additionally, there’s a possibility that PPP will align its election timeline stance withPPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s position. PPP Chairman Bilawal BhuttoZardari, who recently began his campaign in Karachi, arrived in Lahorewithout a grand reception, leading to blame shifting between the Lahorechapter and party managers.

The CEC meeting’s agenda remains undisclosed, but it may involve discussingelection preparations and the conflicting positions of party leadersregarding the election date.
