The Russian ambassador says that Imran Khan is a legendary figure, in myview, he is an honest and courageous person. During his visit to thePakistan Policy Research Institute, appointed Russian Ambassador DanielaGayench discussed the subject of Pakistan-Russia relations and on thisoccasion, while talking about PTI Chairman, he said that I am your guesthere. I won’t discuss internal matters; I will just say that Imran Khan isa legendary figure, and we respect him a lot. When he was in Moscow, therewere very positive discussions. Imran Khan won the 1992 World Cup, which iswhy he is a champion. In my view, Imran Khan is very courageous and honest.He also mentioned that Pakistan-Russia military and anti-terrorismcooperation will continue.
Russia, China, India, and Pakistan have never come together. Russia, China,Iran, and Pakistan form a core group. The Russian ambassador expressed hopethat the Russian president would soon visit Pakistan. He also expressed thewish that when he retires, he would import Pakistani mangoes. Earlier,Russian Ambassador Danilla Ganich had said that Russia not only desiresstrong relations with the Pakistani government but also wants to build adeep relationship with the people, especially the youth.
He revealed that Russia would supply crude oil and wheat under tradeagreements, which Pakistan would need. They have faith in bilateral traderelations, which will bring improvement. Commenting on Pakistan’ssituation, the Russian ambassador said that our relations are good withevery government; these relations are not with any individual but at thegovernment level.
