The International Cricket Council (ICC) is considering the possibility ofhosting the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled for next year, in New York,USA. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be hosted by the West Indiesand the USA, is just 10 months away. ICC is interested in organizing themega event’s 17 matches in the USA, including a match between Pakistan andIndia in New York.
According to the ICC, a significant reason for this consideration is thelarge number of cricket enthusiasts of Asian origin in the USA who have akeen interest in the matches.
However, organizing this competition in New York at the moment seemsimpossible because there is no cricket stadium in the city that meets ICCstandards.

The ICC’s governing body intends to host this tournament in a country wherefirst-class cricket is not regularly played. The absence of facilitiescould pose challenges in this regard. Broadcasters are also facingdifficulties in this matter.
