JIT (Joint Investigation Team) has completed the investigation regardingMay 9th. PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been named an accused in 10 cases.Case 96/23 against Imran Khan consists of over 2,000 pages, with JITofficials stating that they have found over 400 pieces of evidence relatedto social media against him. Imran Khan has been declared guilty based onstatements and evidence from arrested suspects.
Previously, it was revealed during the investigation that JIT had examinedthe involvement of PTI Chairman’s directives and instructions at JinnahHouse. JIT had conducted three separate investigations against PTIChairman. JIT had also recorded PTI Chairman’s statement in Attock Jail.
In JIT’s report, PTI Chairman also confessed to inciting violence duringthe investigation.
JIT is planning to issue an arrest warrant for PTI Chairman in connectionwith the May 9th incident. JIT is currently conducting an investigationinto the violence at Military Tower. According to a news agency report onAugust 27th, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman was involved in May9th events. The Joint Investigation Team had conducted investigationsagainst PTI Chairman in 6 cases related to the May 9th events.
According to sources, DIG Investigation Imran Kishwar, along with theentire JIT team, questioned PTI Chairman about the evidence of incitementon May 9th. PTI Chairman responded by saying that he was arrested and didnot incite anyone by making phone calls. It is reported that JIT askedabout videos and clips in which protesters mentioned his name, to which theformer Prime Minister responded that he did not incite anyone, they went tothe cantt area on their own , and the individuals involved in the violencewere not from his party but were other individuals.
