LONDON: In a significant step, former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif hasdisclosed the day on which Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N), will return to Pakistan ahead of the approachingelections to oversee the party’s political campaign in the nation.
According to Shehbaz, Nawaz Sharif will arrive in Pakistan on October 21.The announcement followed a meeting of the PML-N’s highest leadership, ledby Nawaz, in London.
Due to health issues, Nawaz has been living in self-imposed exile inLondon since November 2019. In 2017, the Supreme Court permanently barredhim from holding public office for failing to declare a payable salary.
