In Lahore, Khadija Shah, a PTI activist, has contested the decision of ananti-terrorism court to grant her physical remand in the Lahore High Court.Barrister Sameer Khosa, representing Khadija Shah, submitted a petitionstating that the police had obtained her physical remand multiple times inthe May 9 case.
The petition asserts that the trial court denied her bail request despitechanges in the case’s legal framework. Khadija Shah argues that the trialcourt’s grant of physical remand without any recovery is unlawful andrequests the High Court to declare the ATC’s decision as such.
Additionally, she seeks the suspension of the trial court’s decision untilthe Lahore High Court makes a determination. Khadija Shah, a PTI activistand the daughter of former finance minister Dr. Salman Shah, becameinvolved in protests following the arrest of former Prime Minister ImranKhan on May 9, which led to violent clashes and demonstrations in variouscities, including an attack on military installations and the CorpsCommander’s house in Lahore by PTI workers.
