Islamabad: Concerned Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that thenews regarding putting the names of some businessmen on the Exit ControlList (ECL) is false.
Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani expressed that work has begun to curbsmuggling both inside and outside the country. Overseas Pakistanis are ourassets, and the government stands with them regarding the issues of landgrabbing by overseas Pakistanis.
He stated that discussions have taken place with all ambassadors regardingdelays in student visas, and they have assured that they will resolve thisissue promptly. We have good relations with all countries in our region.Speaking about CPEC, he mentioned that CPEC is a successful project, andprogress can also be seen in its second phase.
The caretaker government is committed to its constitutional mandate and isnot transgressing it in any way. Addressing the issue of dollar smuggling,the Foreign Minister emphasized that there will be no compromise with thoseinvolved in dollar smuggling. However, the news about putting the names ofsome businessmen in the ECL is false.
Efforts are being made to improve the investment environment. He expressedsorrow over the incidents of terrorism and hopes that the Afghan governmentwill take effective measures against such terrorists.
