Former Indian Cricketer enraged by Pak-India Asia Cup schedule

Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad expressed his displeasure withthis arrangement. He endorsed a fan’s post on a platform once known asTwitter, in which the fan criticized broadcasters for focusing solely onthe Pakistan-India match and criticized the organizers for creating aformat that has teams playing against each other multiple times in thetournament.

Venkatesh Prasad retweeted the post and expressed his hope that the matchwould not take place at all. He described it as “absolute shamelessness” ifthe reports were true and accused the organizers of making a mockery of thetournament by having different rules for the two teams.

He suggested that it would be fair if the match were abandoned on the firstday and if rain were to disrupt the plans further. It’s worth noting thatthere is a forecast for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Colombo during theSuper Four stage of the tournament.

The group stage match between Pakistan and India had already been abandoneddue to rain. Pakistan enters the upcoming fixture with an advantage after aconvincing victory over Bangladesh in their first Super Four match inLahore.
