The Election Commission of Pakistan, as reported by ARY News on Wednesday,has made the decision to extend invitations to foreign observers and mediapersonnel for the upcoming general elections. Election commission sourceshave confirmed that all necessary preparations for inviting foreignelection observers and media representatives have been completed, and acode of conduct has been officially established.
“All preparations for invitation to foreign election observers and media,have been completeds and a code of conduct has been finalized,” electioncommission sources said.
As per information from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP),invitations to foreign observers will be issued once the election scheduleis formally announced. These invitations will be accompanied by specializedcards featuring enhanced security features, a step aimed at ensuring theintegrity of the election process.
It has been revealed that these special security-enhanced cards forforeign observers have already been produced, demonstrating the ECP’scommitment to a transparent and secure electoral process. Furthermore,foreign observers and media personnel will be granted access to pollingstations, allowing them to closely monitor the proceedings.
“The election commission will issue cards to election observers and themedia with special security features,” sources said. The ECP sources also emphasize that foreign observers will have theopportunity to assess the transparency of the vote counting process and thecompilation of election results, underscoring the commitment to a fair andopen electoral system.
“Foreign observes could also inspect transparency of the vote counting andcompilation of the election results,” ECP sources added.
