Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications, Dr. Umar Saif,shared exciting news on Tuesday about an upcoming visit to Pakistan by theCEO of the Scandinavian cellphone manufacturer, Nokia. This significantrevelation occurred during a meeting with Wille Eerola, who serves as theHonorary Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and chairs theFinland-Pakistan Business Council.

During this meeting, Dr. Umar Saif emphasized Pakistan’s substantialpotential for information technology (IT) exports to Finland. He alsohighlighted that Pakistan is currently engaged in the assembly of Nokia’s4G cellphones. In anticipation of the Nokia CEO’s visit, discussions willrevolve around advanced technologies, specifically focusing on 5G and 6G.

It’s noteworthy to mention that the federal minister for IT had previouslyannounced the government’s ambitious plan to introduce 5G technology inPakistan within a remarkably short timeframe of just 10 months.
