Islamabad police has issued a clarification regarding the re-arrest ofChaudhry Pervez Elahi, the President of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party, afterhis release. According to the police spokesperson, Chaudhry Pervez Elahihas been taken into custody in a case filed at the C.T.D. police station,related to the attack on the Judicial Complex. The police spokespersonstated that a case was registered against Chaudhry Pervez Elahi onSeptember 3rd at the C.T.D. police station, and he was arrested by theC.T.D. officers outside the police lines.
According to the police, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was arrested by the C.T.D.police station in case number 3/23, and he will be presented in theanti-terrorism courts for his alleged involvement. Additionally, a team ofdoctors from PIMS Hospital arrived at the police lines for Chaudhry PervezElahi’s medical check-up. It has been reported that the doctors’ team willconduct his medical examination.
