Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaar ul Haq Kakar emphasized on Tuesday thecrucial need for improving road infrastructure in order to access thecountry’s natural resources. This concern was addressed during a high-levelmeeting centered around the petroleum division. In this meeting, theCaretaker Prime Minister was provided with a comprehensive briefing on thedivision’s performance.
During the briefing, the caretaker PM was informed that the petroleumdivision is actively engaged in the quest to discover additional naturalresources within Pakistan. Special attention is being given to thedevelopment of pipeline projects that aim to facilitate the transportationof oil and gas from diverse deposits across the nation. Furthermore, thepromotion of foreign investment in the mining sector was highlighted as asignificant priority.
In response to these discussions, the Caretaker Prime Minister expressedthe view that further measures are essential to fully harness Pakistan’sabundant natural resources. He issued directives for stringent actions tocombat illegal mining activities and stressed the importance of promptlyfulfilling all legal requirements for the appointment of the head of theOil and Gas Development Authority.
