ECP approves major reshuffle in Sindh bureaucracy

The Election Commission of Pakistan, on Tuesday, granted approval forsignificant changes in the deployment and assignments of Sindh policeofficers in anticipation of upcoming elections. This decision by theelectoral body encompasses the reshuffling of key personnel, including oneadditional Inspector General (IG), eight Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs),and 31 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and Superintendents ofPolice (SPs) across the province.

According to the official notification issued by the ECP, Khalid Rind, whoserved as Additional IG Special Branch, has been reassigned as AdditionalIG Karachi. Additionally, Asad Raza has assumed the role of DIG South, AsimKhan has taken charge as DIG West, and Captain (retd) Ghulam Azfar has beenappointed as DIG East Zone Karachi.

Further changes in leadership include Abdul Hameed Khoso as the new DIGSukkur, Javed Jaskani as DIG Larkana, Tariq Razzak as DIG Hyderabad, ParvezChandio as DIG Shaheed Benazirabad, and Tanveer Alam Odhu as DIG MirpurKhas.

In addition to these transfers, several officers have been assigned newpositions, such as Amjad Sheikh as SSP Hyderabad, Abreez Ali Abbasi as SPTindwala Yar, Saleem Shah as SP Tandu Muhammad Khan, Nurul Haq Rand as SPMatiari, Tariq Nawaz as SP Jamshoro, Shabbir Sethar as SSP Dadu, Ali BakhshS. as SP Thatta, Shehla Qureshi as SP Sajawal, Qamar Jaskani as SP Badin,Haider Raza as SSP Shaheed Benazirabad, Tariq Elahi Mastoi as SSP Malir,Hasan Sardar as SSP Korangi, Faisal Abdullah Chachad as SSP CentralKarachi, Irfan Ali Bahadur as SSP East Karachi, Imran Qureshi as SSPDistrict South Karachi, Muhammad Arif Aslam as SSP Kemari, and Zahoor Alias SSP West Karachi.
