Islamabad: An internal story has surfaced about the Pakistan People’s Partynot protesting against the excessive electricity bills.
According to sources, there was a consultation within the PakistanPeople’s Party regarding the protest against the additional electricitybills, in which the leadership had suggested protesting on the issue ofbills.
Sources within the Pakistan People’s Party have stated that leadersadvised the party leadership not to issue a call for protest. Leadersquestioned who the protest against the electricity bills would be directedtowards.

According to sources, the leaders had mentioned that protesting againstbeing a part of the previous government is not appropriate. They advisedthat such a protest would have a negative impact on the party, as theincreased charges in city electricity bills are the responsibility of theprevious government.
