In Lahore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expressed its concerns regarding recent statements made by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar. They have criticized his silence on the crucial matter of ensuring free and fair elections within the constitutionally mandated 90-day period.
The PTI’s spokesperson has expressed surprise and concern over the interim prime minister’s comments regarding the May 9 incidents, pointing out his vocal stance on various issues but his reticence on this important electoral matter. The party has emphasized the nation’s demand for an impartial and high-level judicial inquiry into all aspects of the May 9 incidents and called for a credible evidence-based investigation.

The spokesperson stressed Kakar’s primary responsibility to ensure free and fair elections within the constitutionally mandated 90-day timeframe.
The PTI spokesperson further criticized the caretaker government for its failure to address inflation, citing ongoing political uncertainty as exacerbating the situation. They underscored the importance of upholding democratic principles and the constitutional requirement for elections to be held within 90 days, asserting that Pakistan could not afford undemocratic and unconstitutional actions at this critical juncture.
