In Islamabad, a court has dismissed the Gujranwala Police’s request for aninvestigation into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, asreported by ARY News.
According to the details, the Gujranwala police had asked the court topermit an investigation into PTI Chairman Imran Khan regarding the caseinvolving vandalism at Gujranwala Cantt, which resulted in the injury of 14police personnel.
Judge Abul Hasnat inquired why an investigation had not been carried out onImran Khan yet. In response, the Gujranwala police mentioned that the FIAreport had not been released. The judge then questioned how it would beproven that the PTI chief had committed the crime.
On the same day, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the bail requestof the PTI chairman in the cipher case. Following the rejection of the pleato halt the cipher case trial, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq also turneddown the bail plea of the PTI Chief.
It’s worth noting that the Islamabad High Court judge, Aamer Farooq,reserved the verdict on October 16, providing ample time for both theprosecution and defense to present their arguments and evidence.
Meanwhile, the PTI Chief is presently in prison on judicial remand in thecipher case.
