The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced the occurrenceof the last lunar eclipse of 2023 in Pakistan, scheduled to take placetonight. This celestial event is expected to commence at 11:02 pm onFriday, October 27, and reach its zenith at 1:14 AM on Saturday, October28. The eclipse will conclude at 3:26 AM on Saturday, October 28.

During a lunar eclipse, the Earth’s shadow falls on the Moon, resulting ina dimming of its luminance or, in some cases, a reddish hue.

The PMD, mindful of safety, has recommended that individuals exercisecaution when observing the lunar eclipse due to the potential harm directsunlight can inflict on the eyes.
