The registration window for foreign players for the ninth edition of theHBL Pakistan Super League has officially opened, with the tournamenttentatively scheduled from February 8 to March 24.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the renewals of categoriesfor local players will be finalized and published soon. Subsequently, thetrade and retention window will be opened, and the pick order for theplayer draft for the upcoming season will also be shared.

Crucial decisions regarding player retentions and trades must be made inadvance of the HBL PSL 9 Player Draft, tentatively set for mid-December,coinciding with the conclusion of the National T20 tournament, with thefinal match taking place on December 10 in Karachi.

Reflecting on the previous season, Lahore Qalandars emerged as champions,defeating Multan Sultans in a thrilling final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.They achieved a remarkable milestone by securing two successive HBL PSLtitles.

Islamabad United claimed the third-place position, while Peshawar Zalmifinished fourth. Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators ended the season inthe fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
