Mian Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), hasmade the decision to engage in both in-person and telephonic discussionswith the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership and the PakistanPeople’s Party (PPP) as part of an effort to avoid political confrontations.
This determination emerged from a kitchen cabinet meeting that took placeat Jati Umra and involved key members of the Sharif family, including NawazSharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, and Ishaq Dar, whocollectively deliberated on the future political strategy for the PML-N.
It was revealed that the PML-N leadership reached a consensus on refrainingfrom political clashes, particularly in relation to the PPP’s demand for alevel playing field and Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan. Following asuggestion put forth by former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharifis set to initiate political discussions within the next two days.
These discussions will involve personal contact with notable figures suchas former President Asif Ali Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, AttaullahMengal, Bilawal Bhutto, and other prominent leaders, as well as expressinggratitude to the PDM leadership.
During the meeting, participants also discussed the current politicallandscape in the country, with a particular focus on the ramifications ofNawaz Sharif’s return. Sources disclosed that the meeting concluded with adecision to prioritize legal matters in Nawaz Sharif’s political agenda.
