The Afghan Taliban have imposed a ban on carrying weapons by individualsassociated with proscribed TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) members inAfghanistan.
A video address by a commander of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan inKhust, addressing Pakistani Taliban, has gone viral on social media. In thevideo, the military commander states that from now on, no one is allowed tocarry weapons, and a formal army has been established.
The Afghan Taliban military commander further mentioned that individualswho do not possess official government cards should not carry weapons inthe future, and unauthorized persons should not use military uniforms.
