Egypt says that its military personnel were injured in the ‘gunfire byIsrael during a border incident. According to the Egyptian militaryspokesperson, seven military soldiers were hit near Gaza by mistakenlyfired rounds at an Israeli tank.
The spokesperson stated that the injuries sustained during the incident areof a minor nature. Israel has expressed immediate regret for theunintentional incident and initiated investigations.
On the other hand, Israel has acknowledged targeting Egyptian forcesaccidentally, stating that a tank mistakenly targeted Egyptian troops.
