In the district of Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an attack has occurred on theGomal Police Station by unidentified militants with malicious intent.
According to authorities, unknown elements attempted to breach the GomalPolice Station from all sides, launching an assault with both light andheavy weapons. In a timely response from the police, these elements wereunsuccessful in their unholy ambitions.
As per the police, an exchange of fire between the police and theterrorists continued for a considerable duration. During this exchange offire, SHO (Station House Officer) Thana Gomal, Asghar Khan, sustainedsevere injuries from a gunshot and has been transferred to the SolaHospital in Dera Ismail Khan for treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, District Police OfficerTank, Iftikhar Ali Shah, immediately reached the scene with DSPs, SHOs, anda significant police force. They cordoned off the area and initiated asearch operation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits.
