Stunning Revelations: Nawaz Sharif returning back to Pakistan with a solid deal agreement

Analyst Mohsin Baig has revealed that Nawaz Sharif’s return on October 21has been carefully coordinated following a solid agreement. He expressedhis observations, stating that the ongoing developments seem to align withthis arrangement and are expected to persist in the future. Baig believesthat the former prime minister will successfully file his nomination papersand participate in the upcoming elections.

When discussing the propensity of politicians to engage in negotiations forpolitical gains, he emphasized that virtually all political leaders areinclined to pursue deals as a means to attain power. Baig challenged anyoneto name a politician who doesn’t seek such opportunities.

With regard to elections and the PPP’s insistence on holding them promptly,he pointed out that the PPP had taken part in the meeting that approved the2023 census. According to him, the PPP was aware that the ElectionCommission would conduct delimitation based on the new census data. Therefore, he suggested that if the PPP had concerns, they should not haveendorsed the census approval.

Legal expert Hasan Raza Pasha discussed Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification andthe legal steps he would need to take to challenge the verdict that led tohis lifetime disqualification. Pasha clarified that Article 62(1)(f) doesnot specify the duration of disqualification, indicating that Sharif wouldhave to approach the Supreme Court to overturn his conviction. This couldbe achieved through the submission of a file or by addressing objectionsduring the nomination paper submission.

Pasha also anticipated that Sharif might have an opportunity to address aPML-N rally on October 21 without having to appear in court, as the courtsare expected to be closed on the day of his homecoming.
