COAS Asim Munir lauds performance of PAF Air Power Centre of Excellence

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir emphasized the significance ofmultinational air exercises in the context of evolving air warfaredynamics. He conveyed this message while addressing the participants of theMultinational Air Exercise Indus Shield, which took place at the AirpowerCentre of Excellence.

During this event, the army chief visited an operational air base of thePakistan Air Force, where he observed the ongoing aerial exercise, IndusShield-2023. Notable air chiefs from countries like Türkiye, Azerbaijan,and Hungary were also present as witnesses to this extensive air exerciseinvolving 14 nations.

In his speech, COAS Munir commended the professionalism of the exerciseparticipants and expressed his deep appreciation for the Air Power Centreof Excellence’s advanced facilities and its pivotal role in orchestratingsuch a large-scale air exercise. He acknowledged that the center’sexpertise and dedication have contributed to the development of highlyskilled and proficient air warriors, prepared to confront the challenges ofmodern warfare.

Furthermore, General Munir praised the leadership of the Chief of the AirStaff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber, whose unwavering determinationand relentless efforts led to this exercise becoming one of the largestaerial exercises in the region.

Recognizing the ever-changing nature of aerial warfare, he reiterated hiscommitment to supporting the air chief’s vision, which includes theincorporation of intelligent introductions and cutting-edge technologies invarious domains such as cyber, artificial intelligence, IT, space, andspecialized innovations.

Upon his arrival, COAS Munir was warmly received by Air Chief MarshalBaber, and he had the opportunity to meet with foreign dignitaries andprincipal staff officers of the Pakistan Air Force.
