Foreign Office reacts to Israeli PM concerns on perceived threat from Pakistan

The Foreign Office responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’sconcerns regarding a perceived threat from Pakistan by firmly rejecting thestatement. During a weekly press briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson,Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to being a peacefulnation, Aaj TV English website has reported.

In response to a question, the spokesperson explicitly stated that Pakistanhad no intentions of deploying its military forces to Gaza. She alsoexpressed Pakistan’s deep concern about the humanitarian crisis unfoldingin Gaza as a result of Israel’s actions. She condemned deliberate attackson civilian targets, labeling them as war crimes and crimes againsthumanity.

The Foreign Office spokesperson reemphasized the call for an immediateceasefire and the creation of humanitarian corridors. Additionally, sheannounced that a chartered plane carrying 100 tonnes of aid, includingmedical supplies, tents, and blankets, was scheduled to depart on Thursdayafternoon.

Baloch went on to mention Pakistan’s role in co-convening an extraordinarymeeting within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) focused on thePalestinian issue. During this meeting, there were calls for theimplementation of a Two-State solution.
