Atrocities in Gaza: Afghan Taliban will not interfere in internal affairs of Israel, says top commander

Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Acting Afghan Interior Minister and a top leader ofthe Afghan Taliban, has appealed to the United Nations and internationalbodies to intervene and defuse the ongoing tensions in Gaza. He expresseddeep concern about the Israeli atrocities inflicted upon the Palestinianpopulation and clarified that Afghanistan doesn’t aim to interfere ininternal affairs but cannot remain silent in the face of such injustice andaggression.

“We have no intention of meddling in the internal matters of any nation,but we are deeply distressed by Israel’s oppressive actions againstPalestinians. We call upon the United Nations and internationalorganizations to put an end to this injustice and aggression,” Haqqanideclared.

He also drew attention to the suffering and expressed disappointment in therelatively muted response from the global Muslim community, emphasizingthat the oppression and violence in Yat Maqdis by Israel deeply saddenedthem.

Haqqani further underlined the Afghan people’s revolutionary spirit andstrong religious convictions, motivating them to stand against suchinjustices.

While reaffirming Afghanistan’s respect for the sovereignty of othercountries, Haqqani assured the international community of the IslamicEmirate’s commitment to supporting fellow Muslims. “We do not advocateinterference in the internal affairs of others, but we are unwavering inour commitment to stand with our fellow Muslims.”

The Islamic Emirate has urged international organizations, including theUnited Nations, to prevent such abuses and encroachments against Muslimsand strongly condemned violence against Muslims as intolerable.
