Captain Rohit Sharma of the Indian cricket team said, “We thought we wouldget a target of 280 runs in the most important match of the 2023 World Cupagainst Pakistan, despite winning by 7 wickets.” However Pakistani teamcould not come even close to our lowest exepectation.
He mentioned that their bowlers’ excellent performance in all three WorldCup matches so far has contributed to the team’s success.
The Indian captain stated that Ahmedabad’s pitch had capacity of much morethan 190 runs, and they expected to reach a target of atleast 280 runs.
