Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has likened the siege of Gaza byIsrael to the infamous Leningrad blockade during the Nazi era.
According to an official report, Vladimir Putin, after a leadershipmeeting, stated in a media conversation that the blockade of Gaza isunacceptable and should be immediately ended.
The Russian president mentioned that Hamas has made mistakes, but Israel isalso responding in an unjust manner.
He also emphasized that there is a demand for the United States tofacilitate a ceasefire in Gaza, similar to the Leningrad blockade duringthe Second World War.
