The Senate committee meeting on aviation questioned CAA officials about anaircraft that had arrived from India, landed in Pakistan, and allegedlycarried billions of Rupees in Bags out of Pakistan.
Chairman of the committee, Senator Hidayatullah, also inquired withrelevant authorities. The meeting was presided over by Chairman SenatorHidayatullah, and several senators, including Sherry Rehman, SaleemMandviwala, and Saifullah Abro, expressed strong concerns about the absenceof the Minister for Civil Aviation.
Senators asked the Secretary of Civil Aviation and other officials aboutthe details of the money carried out of the country, who was responsiblefor it, and why it was taken abroad on the Indian aircraft that landed inPakistan. They also requested that any footage related to the incident beprovided to the parliament.
In response, the officials stated that they did not possess any footage andassured that better practices would be adopted in the future. Senatorsemphasized the importance of having complete footage of such incidentsavailable in the future.
