Former president of the United States, Donald Trump, voiced criticismagainst Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and made remarks aboutHezbollah’s intelligence. This statement emerged shortly after an attack onIsrael.
During a speech to a gathering of more than 3,500 supporters at aconvention center in Palm Beach, Florida, Donald Trump highlighted hisaccomplishments, including relocating the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and thesigning of the Abraham Accords, which normalized diplomatic relationsbetween Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. He emphasized thatthese actions would have led to a flourishing Israel and prevented Iranfrom causing problems.
However, he also painted a grim picture of the world, describing it asplagued by chaos, bloodshed, war, terror, and death. He warned of thepossibility of World War III on the horizon and criticized the competenceof the Biden administration, labeling its members as “stupid people.”
Furthermore, Trump directly targeted Netanyahu, claiming that the Israelileader did not assist the United States in the 2020 drone strike thatkilled Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the Quds Force of the IslamicRevolutionary Guards Corps responsible for covert military operations. Thiscriticism marked a departure from the praise Netanyahu had received fromTrump when the strike occurred.
In Trump’s words, “I’ll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down,”characterizing it as a “very terrible thing.
