Former PM Imran Khan to be sentenced with 14 years imprisonment: report

In the Cypher Case, Imran Khan is not getting any relief. In Geo News’program “Report Card,” senior analysts stated that Imran Khan won’t bespared in the Cypher Case. The allegations in the Cypher Case could lead toa sentence of three to fourteen years.

Senior journalist Azaz Syed mentioned that Imran Khan has been implicatedin the Cypher Case by the FIA’s charges. It should be noted that theSpecial Court has set October 17 as the date for Imran Khan and the ViceChairman’s indictment in the Cypher Case. Imran Khan would be given 14years of imprisonment in the Cypher Case.

On Monday, in Islamabad, the special court judge Abu al-Hasanat heard thecase against PTI’s Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Adiala Jail.

Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi, lawyer Salman Safdar, the FIA team, andthe investigating officer appeared in court. During the hearing, copies ofthe indictment in the Cypher Case were distributed. The court scheduled theindictment of the Chairman of PTI and Vice Chairman to be held untilOctober 17 during the hearing.

However, the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court postponed thehearing on Chairman PTI’s Cypher Case to Thursday on bail request. ChiefJustice Amir Farooq said that there are not many lawyers present at therostrum; only two lawyers are present. An open court hearing has beenordered on this request. If something sensitive comes up, both lawyers willlisten to the camera evidence through consultation.
