Lowkey, the musician and host of the ‘The Watchdog’ podcast on Mint PressNews, reported that Tally Gotliv, an Israeli politician from Netanyahu’sparty, advocated for the use of a nuclear weapon on Gaza, a region inPalestine.
Lowkey has been actively using Twitter to shed light on what he perceivesas Israeli atrocities in Gaza. Tally Gotliv is an Israeli lawyer andpolitician who currently serves as a member of the Knesset for the Likudparty.
She gained notoriety for making provocative speeches, as reported byIsraeli media. Previously, she criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahufor defending Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officials and the securityestablishment and justifying recent attacks by lawmakers on the military.
In response to these criticisms, Netanyahu and Defense Minister YoavGallant issued a joint statement rejecting the growing rebukes of IDFleadership expressed by lawmakers, confidants of the prime minister,right-wing media, and others.
This backlash came after defense officials repeatedly expressed concernsabout the impact of some reservists’ refusals to carry out their duties inprotest of the coalition’s judicial overhaul legislation, which theybelieved was damaging to military readiness.
Gotliv questioned the need for the prime minister to apologize, asking whythe government should remain silent when top IDF officials consideredmaking statements about their competence that could benefit Israel’senemies and undermine national resilience.
