The military organization of Hamas in Palestine has claimed that the numberof Israeli captives detained during the operation is significantly higherthan what the Israeli government has stated.
According to a report by Qatar’s television channel Al Jazeera, thespokesperson for Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,stated in a message that the number of Israeli detainees under custody ismuch greater than the figure mentioned by the Israeli Prime Minister, whosaid they were held in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Hamas spokesperson responded to Israeli statements regarding theindividuals captured, asserting that the operation was carried out with awell-planned strategy, including incursions into Israeli territories andmissile attacks, and that most aspects of this operation are proceeding asper our planning.
