The International Cricket Council (ICC), after complaints from the PakistanCricket Board (PCB), has stated that they are working on obtaining visasfor Pakistani fans and journalists for the upcoming World Cup in India.

According to a global news agency, an ICC spokesperson mentioned in astatement that the issuance of visas is the responsibility of the hostcountry, and they are working closely with them to address the issue. Everypossible effort is being made to resolve the matter.

It should be noted that the PCB had previously expressed frustration in astatement on Friday, stating that visa delays had put them under immensepressure. The PCB was deeply concerned about the uncertain situationregarding Indian visas for Pakistani journalists and fans to coverPakistan’s opening match in the World Cup.

The presence of fans not only enhances the atmosphere in the stadium butalso contributes to the coverage and promotion of the sport on a globallevel.

Furthermore, the PCB had also been consistently informing the ICC abouttheir responsibilities concerning visa issuance for cricket fans andjournalists over the past three years. Additionally, they had discussionswith ICC member nations regarding the agreement and continued to expresstheir concerns to relevant authorities.
