PIA flight avoided a disaster whenduring the flight’s landing, one of the tires of the plane burst, causingthe aircraft to ground at Multan Airport immediately after the incident.The spokesperson for PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) stated thatduring landing, the air leaked from one of the 18 tires, resulting in atire burst.
The seventh tire of the Boeing 777 aircraft suffered damage, and it will bereplaced before the flight continues from Lahore to Multan.
After replacing the damaged tire, the flight will proceed to MedinaMunawara. Additionally, PIA’s flight from Islamabad to Karachi is alsoexperiencing a 2-hour delay due to a fuel shortage, causing a delay in itsdeparture.
It’s important to note that the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) had provided fuelfor PIA’s flight from Islamabad to Karachi, but there was a delay inrefueling. The delay affected PIA’s flight PK 309, which was scheduled todepart at 7 PM.
According to PIA’s spokesperson, there has been communication between theCEO of PIA and the Managing Director of PSO, and the flight will take offshortly after refueling. It was also mentioned that Pakistan State Oil hadreceived 480 million rupees in dues for fuel supply obligations on Thursday.
