Bajaur, Pakistan – Security forces have successfully conducted a majorintelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bajaur district after receivingconfirmed reports about the presence of militants belonging to the outlawedTehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) faction Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to initial briefings, the operation led to the elimination of over20 terrorists, marking one of the most significant counterterrorismactions in the region in recent months. Officials said the militants weretraced to a hideout in the rugged terrain of Bajaur, where forces launcheda swift and precise action based on actionable intelligence.
Security sources added that the operation remains underway, with forcescontinuing a meticulous clearance and search mission to track down anyremaining militants attempting to flee or reorganize. Additionalcontingents have been deployed to the surrounding areas to prevent escaperoutes and ensure full neutralization of the network.
