Suicide Bomber and Facilitator Identified in Islamabad District Courts Attack

Islamabad, November 13, 2025 — Authorities have identified the suicidebomber and his facilitator involved in the deadly attack outside theIslamabad District Courts earlier this week, sources told ARY News.

According to investigative sources, the suicide attacker was an Afghannational, while his facilitator hailed from Pakistan’s Bajaur district. Thefacilitator was arrested during a search operation on Thursday morningafter detained suspects provided crucial information leading to hislocation.

The tragic incident occurred on November 11, 2025, when a suicide bomberdetonated explosives near a police van outside the Islamabad DistrictCourts, killing 12 people and injuring 27 others. The injured arecurrently receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Police officials said five additional suspects have been taken into custodyfrom various areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad as part of the ongoinginvestigation. Authorities are working to determine the exact role of eachsuspect and how the facilitator assisted the attacker.

Investigations also revealed that the bomber used an online motorcycleservice, paying Rs. 200 to reach the court premises. Before arriving atthe site, he reportedly traveled from Golra to Chungi No. 26, keeping hisface covered with a mask during the journey.

Police have begun interrogating the detained individuals at separatelocations to gather more information about the network behind the attack.
