Red Fort Delhi Blast: Turkey Strongly Reacts over Baseless Allegations Levelled by India

Ankara — The Turkish government has firmly rejected allegations suggestingthat it has been involved in “radicalisation activities” aimed at India,describing the claims as baseless and misleading.

In an official statement issued on Thursday, the Turkish Ministry ofForeign Affairs said the reports circulating in some media outlets were“disinformative and devoid of any factual basis.” The ministry added thatsuch allegations undermine efforts to foster mutual understanding andcooperation between the two countries.

“Turkey maintains its commitment to promoting peace, stability, andinterfaith harmony globally. Any suggestion to the contrary is not onlyunfounded but also contrary to our long-standing diplomatic principles,”the statement read.

The remarks come amid growing media speculation about alleged ideologicalor political influences emanating from certain international networks.Ankara emphasized that it “categorically rejects any attempt to associateTurkey with radicalisation or extremist activities.”

Turkish officials urged responsible journalism and stressed the importanceof “constructive dialogue” between Ankara and New Delhi to strengthenbilateral ties.

Neither the Indian Ministry of External Affairs nor its representativeshave yet issued an official response to Turkey’s statement.
