Russia Rejects Indian Media Claims of Defense Data Theft, Affirms Strong Ties with Pakistan

Moscow, November 13, 2025 — Russia has categorically denied Indian mediareports alleging that sensitive information related to Russian defensesystems and helicopters was stolen and transferred to Pakistan.

In an official statement, Russian authorities dismissed the claims as “false,baseless, and deliberately misleading,” emphasizing that Moscow’srelations with Islamabad are founded on “mutual respect and trust.”

“Reports appearing in certain Indian media outlets regarding the theft ofclassified information from Russian defense systems and its allegedtransfer to Pakistan are entirely untrue. Russia maintains a relationshipwith Pakistan based on mutual respect, trust, and growing cooperation,” thestatement said.

The Russian government criticized the spread of misinformation, suggestingthat such narratives are attempts to damage Russia’s diplomatic and defenserelations with its partners.

“Such unfounded allegations serve no purpose other than to createunnecessary tensions. Russia values its cooperative engagement with bothregional and global partners and rejects any efforts to politicize defenserelations,” the statement added.

Observers note that this is not the first time Indian media has publishedspeculative reports involving defense and intelligence matters. Both Russiaand Pakistan have increasingly strengthened their collaboration in areassuch as defense training, counterterrorism, and energy development overrecent years.

Moscow reaffirmed its commitment to continuing constructive dialogue andcooperation with Islamabad, stressing that “relations between Pakistan andRussia are based on mutual respect and trust.”
