Turkey Strongly Reacts over Indian Media Reports Linking It to Delhi Blast

Following Monday’s explosion in the Indian capital, New Delhi, sections ofthe Indian media have begun blaming Turkey for alleged involvement in theincident. Reports published in various Indian outlets claimed thatindividuals linked to the Delhi blast received logistical support fromTurkey.

In response, the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi issued a strong statementrejecting the allegations and condemning the media reports as “maliciousand unfounded.”

According to the embassy’s statement, certain Indian media organizationspublished “baseless reports” accusing Turkey of being linked to terroristactivities in India and providing “logistical, diplomatic, and financialassistance” to terrorist groups.

“This is part of a smear campaign aimed at harming the bilateral relationsbetween Turkey and India,” the embassy said.

The statement further emphasized that Turkey “strongly condemns all formsof terrorism” and continues to play a “prominent role” in the global fightagainst terrorism in cooperation with the international community.

The embassy also dismissed the accusations that Turkey was involved inactivities promoting extremism in India or any other country, calling them“completely unfounded and contrary to facts.”
