According to the updated rankings, Babar now sits at seventh place,marking a rare dip in form for the former world No. 1. His recentperformances have not matched his usual high standards, leading to anoticeable decline in his ranking points.
It is worth mentioning that in April 2021, Babar Azam dethroned Indiancaptain Virat Kohli to claim the world No. 1 ODI batsman title. Withthat achievement, he became the fourth Pakistani batter in history toreach the top of the ICC ODI rankings.
