Afghanistan’s Hand Suspected in Islamabad Suicide Blast Linked to Indian Backed Militant Group

ISLAMABAD – Intelligence sources have revealed that Afghanistan’sinvolvement has been uncovered in the recent suicide bombing in Islamabad, allegedly carried out with support from the Indian-backed militant group Fitnaal-Khawarij.

According to the sources, the explosion occurred around 12:45 PM in thefederal capital. However, suspicious activity had already been detectedhours earlier on Afghan social media platforms, raising concerns aboutprior coordination.

At 6:45 AM, an account on X (formerly Twitter) associated with the AfghanTaliban posted a cryptic message stating, “Coming soon Islamabad.”Authorities now believe this post may have been a forewarning of the attack.

Similar threats had appeared in the past during an Afghan military parade, where online users called for “raising the Afghan flag in Lahore” and“setting Islamabad on fire.” Afghan media outlet Amaj News had sharedthese messages on November 2, drawing attention from Pakistaniintelligence agencies.

Moments after the Islamabad blast, another Taliban-linked accountnamed KhorasanAl-Arabi posted “Bismillah” — a message that security officialsdescribed as a clear indication of the Afghan regime’s hostile intenttoward Pakistan.

Sources say the timing and sequence of these online posts point toward adeliberate and organized campaign designed to destabilize Pakistan. Theybelieve the recent blasts in Islamabad and Delhi may be part of a broaderstrategy by anti-Pakistan elements, allegedly backed by external actors, tospread fear and unrest across the region.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, a national task force has vowedcoordinated action on water scarcity, signaling the government’s intentto address internal challenges even as external threats loom large.
