India May Use Delhi Blast as Pretext for Aggression, Warns Khawaja Asif

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned that the Modi-ledgovernment in India is trying to exploit the recent Delhi blast byportraying it as an act of terrorism. Speaking on Tuesday, Asif said itwould not be surprising if India blamed Pakistan for the incident in anattempt to divert attention from its internal issues.

He further cautioned that India might create a pretext or stage a drama tojustify possible aggression against Pakistan. “If any act of aggression iscarried out against us, we will respond with full force,” Asif asserted, emphasizing Pakistan’s readiness to defend its sovereignty.

The minister criticized the Indian government for what he called a habitualpattern of using such incidents for political mileage, particularly aheadof elections or during times of domestic unrest.

Regional tensions have been simmering in recent weeks, with both countriesexchanging sharp statements over border security and counterterrorismconcerns. Pakistan has urged the international community to take notice ofIndia’s “provocative narrative” and to discourage any steps that coulddestabilize the region further.
