Pakistan’s Prime Minister is set to embark on an official visit to SaudiArabia early next week, marking his first trip to the Kingdom since thesigning of the landmark Defence Cooperation Pact between the two nations.
According to official sources, the visit is expected to focus on majoreconomic, investment, and defence agreements, aimed at deepeningPakistan–Saudi Arabia strategic relations. High-level meetings arescheduled between the Pakistani delegation and top Saudi leadership,including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Officials familiar with the agenda said that discussions will center aroundjoint defence production, energy cooperation, and new investment projectsunder Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 framework. Pakistan is also likely to seekincreased Saudi investment in infrastructure, mining, and renewable energysectors, alongside potential collaboration in defence manufacturing.
Diplomatic observers view this visit as a significant step in strengtheningbilateral trust and regional cooperation, particularly after the signing ofthe recent Defence Pact, which has been described as a “turning point” inPakistan–Saudi relations.
The visit comes at a crucial time when Pakistan is seeking to boost itsforeign investment and economic partnerships to stabilize its economy. Bothcountries are expected to issue a joint statement at the conclusion of thevisit, outlining the new areas of cooperation.
