*Lahore – August 25, 2025:* The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissedreports suggesting possible changes in the national team’s leadership, reaffirming that no discussions have taken place regarding a shift incaptaincy.

Over the past few days, speculation on mainstream and social media claimedthat wicketkeeper-batter *Mohammad Rizwan* could be replaced as white-ballcaptain by *Salman Ali Agha*, while *Shan Masood* might lose his red-ballleadership role to *Saud Shakeel*.

In an official statement issued on *X (formerly Twitter)* on Monday, thePCB categorically denied the rumors, terming them baseless.

“The matter of captaincy has neither been discussed in any selectioncommittee meeting nor has there been any change in the central contractcategories of players,” the board clarified.

The PCB further urged fans and media outlets to avoid speculation, emphasizing that official announcements regarding team matters will only bemade through the board’s verified platforms.

Currently, Rizwan leads Pakistan in white-ball formats, while Masoodcaptains the Test side. Both were appointed earlier this year as part ofthe PCB’s long-term planning strategy.
