General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, embarked on an official visit to China on August 21, 2025. The visit, scheduled from August 22 to 25, focuses on bolstering military relations between the two nations. During his stay, General Waker will engage in high-level discussions with senior Chinese military and civilian officials to explore avenues for enhanced defense cooperation. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the meetings aim to strengthen bilateral military ties and foster mutual understanding. General Waker is expected to return to Bangladesh on August 27.
