The spokesperson for the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission(SUPARCO) has issued a forecast regarding the sighting of the Rabi-ul-Awwal1447 AH moon.
According to SUPARCO, the new moon will be born on *August 23, 2025, at11:06 AM (Pakistan Standard Time)*.
There are strong chances of moon sighting on the *evening of August 24*, asthe moon will be approximately *32 hours and 13 minutes old* by then.Moreover, in the coastal areas of Pakistan, there will be an interval ofnearly *45 minutes between sunset and moonset*, making visibility favorable.
If the moon is sighted on *August 24*, then *1st Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall onAugust 25, 2025*. Consequently, *12th Rabi-ul-Awwal is expected to beobserved on Friday, September 5, 2025*.
